Meet the Thrive Pastors
THRIVE was founded by Pastors J.J. and Laura Perez with a focus to reach and serve a uniquely multicultural, multigenerational, and multi-faceted community.
Ever, since J.J. and Laura were married in 2002, they have been committed as a couple to leading and serving their community in many ways. As community professionals, leaders and non-paid pastors of Community Church of Pembroke Pines, Inc., they have been involved in all facets of ministry. They received a calling to start Thrive Church in South Florida believing firmly in the calling that God has placed on their lives. It is their hope that individuals and families can find a place where they can be accepted and loved; be restored and find hope; and acquire faith for their future in accordance with all that God has planned for them. They believe that God has created every person with purpose and a special calling on their lives and are committed to “thrive living”.

Fun Facts: Pastors J.J. and Laura, have 4 beautiful and talented children. J.J. is a Lawyer by trade, frequent television and radio guest-commentator, businessman, and professor in legal, real estate and business matters. Laura is a teacher by trade, dedicated to teaching students with disabilities, and she is also a wildly creative individual. Both, love God, love each other, love their families and love “thrive living.”
